When to apply a primer?

What to apply a primer / primer sealer on?

• On all new substrates.
• On all substates in poor condition (after restoration).

For what purposes?

• Facilitate painting.
• Ensure better uniformity.
• Feed the substrate to make it more solid.
• Avoid the formation of bubbles in the finishing coat.
• Avoid the appearance of shade variations on the substrate.
• Avoid peeling of the sealing.
• Saturate the substrate for a reduced need for a finishing paint and for optimal coverage.

Useful information:

• The application of a primer or a primer sealer is essential, or even more important than the application of a finishing paint.
• There is no point in applying a primer/primer sealer on a wall in good condition that is already painted, especially if the purpose is to change the colour.
• Each type of substrate requires a specific primer or adequate primer sealer.
